Store Grand Plaza 2

A couple of days ago, from Soy de Mac, we informed you of the closure of all Apple Store that Apple has in the city of Los Angeles a closure that has been forced to expand to the entire state of California due to the expansion of the coronavirus in this state, despite the fact that the first vaccines have already begun to be distributed in the country.

This same problem is also found in the UK, where a new strain of this virus is spreading rapidly across the country, which has forced the government to prohibit travel in or out of the country, and that has forced Apple to re-close all its stores.

California has become the center of the pandemic in the United States in recent weeks, exceeding 1,8 million cases, after adding 43.608 new infections and 272 deaths. Physical store closures throughout California have also expanded to Silicon Valley offices, returning to the same level as during the first weeks of the pandemic in March this year.

From Apple they state:

Due to current Covid-19 conditions in some of the communities we serve, we are temporarily closing stores in these areas. We take this step with great caution as we closely monitor the situation and hope to have our teams and clients back as soon as possible.

But in addition, Apple also is closing some of the stores in Mexico and Brazil, because the coronavirus things are also increasing in both countries. In recent months many of the stores have been converted into warehouses, to avoid distribution problems such as during the first months of the pandemic, in this way Apple can continue to sell its products with normal without depending on the distribution of China.
