
El Titan project has been with us for a long time. Apple and its autonomous car can be a vehicle full of sensors and that each of them be combined with each other in order to absorb more information and thus be able to provide its user with more safety and efficiency. There is even talk that these sensors are combined with the new LiDAR scanner for which Apple is betting and will bet heavily in the future, even in the glasses that they are expected to launch. A new patent proves this.

En a new patent by Apple and registered in the patent office, mention is made of the possibility of the existence of a series of sensors that exist both inside and outside the vehicle and that communicate with each other quickly and effectively.
The system could function as a system of pipes, connected to each other. In this way, the final decision could be obtained thanks to the decisions of all the data collected by each of the sensors and which in turn provide the information to the other sensors. While individual perceptions would be taken into account, Apple would also proposes a decision of merged perception.
The information collected by the sensors They could be of three types- Raw, processed sensor data, and even data derived from data from the other sensors. In this way, the final decision making would be supported by a large amount of data and the answer to be given would be more reliable.
The LiDAR scanner that in this case what I would do would be power determine distances and depths. However, they could not distinguish between colors and that would be done by other sensors that combined give a comprehensive response.
For the moment and being just a patent, we can expect anything. We could see that it comes true or it simply remains an idea.
