Adobe just announced today the update to version 5.7 of its image editing suite, Lightroom. This new version brings with it a revamped image import tool from Aperture and iPhoto, as well as a special discounted price due to the proximity of the so-called Black Friday.
As most of you already know, Apple decided to stop supporting its iPhoto and Aperture applications for 2015, when it will discontinue these applications in favor of unifying them into a single application for images and photos, which is why Lightroom now includes in this version a new edition of its image import tool from Apple applications.
In addition, along with this tool, the possibility of viewing comments and opinions of the collections shared on the Lightroom website has also been added. On the one hand, this would be the main novelty in OS X, to which they are also added Adobe Camera Raw 8.7 update so the speed of batch processing is improved when working with the "Save" button and the ability to convert images to DNG format using DNG Converter, it also supports HiDPI in Windows as an option in the Experimental Features menu.
As always the camera models have also been expanded to the list of RAW file formats, including the iPhone 6/6 plus, Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Nikon D750, and Sony ILCE-5100. Also fixes some bugs from the previous version that caused the application to crash when applying stain removal. The update is free for users of Adobe Lightroom in a previous version as well as Camera Raw 8.7 is for users of Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6.
