The CBS chain published yesterday Thursday a couple of official photos in the Twitter of the Magazine «60 Minutes» showing broadcaster and journalist Charlie Rose speaking with Angela Ahrendts and Jonathan Ive on the Apple campus. This television network plans to launch the documentary program this Sunday, so those of you who have access to see it, you already know that you have an appointment this weekend.
Although the photos don't reveal much about how the show will unfold, it looks like Rose will be speaking to Ive at a personal interview while touring the designer's laboratory and he will explain some details of the creation process at Apple.
Normally Apple has always kept its design laboratories secret, with very rare occasions that it has opened the doors to certain media of high prestige but very from time to time.
In 2009, for example, documentary maker Gary Hustwit was allowed to record part of the documentary film «Objectified» in these labs and even more recently, Apple itself posted a photo of what appears to be the design of a meeting room within these laboratories.
Rose was also able to see a preview of what the new design language will look like in Apple stores. Specifically in the photo that you can see above, you can see presenter walking in the company of Angela Ahrendts to the inside of what looks like a real scale model of an authentic Apple Store but with some innovative details. If you look at the Genius Bar has disappeared, now all the accessories are embedded in the wall with wooden displays and the space to walk and move in the store seems to be greater, in addition to being more illuminated with completely different access doors, almost there are no barriers between the outside and the store itself.
In February it was already published that Ahrendts would collaborate with Ive in the redesign of the different Apple Stores and in an improved version of the Apple Watch, but the initiative later morphed into a full review by Apple.
