10 new Apple Stores reopen in China

Apple Store employees will be charged for time spent on security checks

Apple announced yesterday a revision of the revenue forecast for the first quarter of 2020, second fiscal quarter for the company, mainly due to the coronavirus and for which Apple closed the 42 stores it has in China. To the temporary closure of physical stores, we have to add that many factories have stopped their production for the same reason.

On February 13, Apple announced that little by little the Apple Store in China would begin to open its doors, 5 specifically, although at limited hours. To these 5 Apple Store, today 10 stores are added, 2 they were the first two that Apple closed when the coronavirus began to make its name.

The 10 new stores that reopen are the following:

  • Apple Pearl River New City (Guangzhou)
  • Apple Sky Plaza (Guangzhou)
  • Apple Dalian Hang Lung Plaza (Dalian)
  • Apple Centennial City (Dalian)
  • Apple Qingdao Vientiane City (Qingdao)
  • Apple Hong Kong Plaza (Shanghai)
  • Apple Nanjing East Road (Shanghai)
  • ApplePudong(Shanghai)
  • Apple Chengdu Vientiane City (Chengdu)
  • Apple Chengdu Taikoo Li (Chengdu)

The schedule that these new 10 Apple Stores that open their doors will have will be the same as the 5 stores that opened a few days ago, from 11/12 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. All visitors are recommended to wear a protective mask and allow employees to take their temperature before entering the facilities, the same measures that Apple is already taking the 5 stores that opened on February 13.

For now, the number of deaths from the coronavirus rises to 2.000 people and there are more than 75.000 infected people in China alone. Fortunately, the cases that have been detected outside of this country can be counted on the fingers of one hand and are being treated properly to prevent it from becoming a global pandemic.
